Before you submit your resume, take a few minutes to review it carefully. Use spelling and grammar checking tools as a first step to identifying mistakes. If possible, have a trusted friend or colleague review your resume for errors as well.
If that isn’t an option, consider placing your resume in a text-to-speech program. Often, it’s easier to hear a problem than to see it when it comes to your own documents, so this can be a workable alternative to a review by someone else.
